I am Daniel, I am a 28 year old Brit in Belgium. Last year I completed the 100km DocRiders event and am excited to push myself to the next level. I would like to raise more money for this worthwhile cause and to complete the 200km event.
Our team and I are taking on this challenge, as Médecins du Monde are doing incredibly important work in Belgium and abroad to support those who would otherwise not receive much needed medical care, and we would like to support them as best as we can.
I am participating because I would like to contribute to the equal distribution of healthcare in the world. Healthcare is a basic right and should not be a privilege of the rich.
I hope to raise maximum funds for Médecins du Monde by testing my physical limits.
It is the least I can do for this incredibly valuable cause.
I’m participating because I decided to start doing sports after a long break during which I was quite inactive. Thus; this is a perfect opportunity to motivate myself to go back on track, especially given the fact that we are doing this for a charity and with super teammates and supporters! As I have never cycled more than +/-20 km, this is also a real challenge and I’m looking forward to completing it with our team!
